612bhp entry-level soft-top
Ferrari has revealed a spider variant of the Roma replacing the Portofino M as the new entry level convertible.
The Roma Spider uses the same underpinnings as the coupe but with added strengthening, roof mechanism, wind deflector and integrated headrests for the rear seats, the convertible is 84kg more than the 1570kg coupe.
Power is provided by the same 612bhp 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 from the coupe sending drive to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. A 0-62mph time of 3.4sec is set to match the coupe and top speed of 199mph.
Pricing has yet to be revealed, but expect more than the coupe which retails at more than £170,000.
