New Seven-seat electric SUV with 337-mile range
The striking new Kia EV9 is the firms largest and most advanced electric car yet, heading for the likes of the BMW X7, the EV9 blends performance with glamorous design and high-tech kit.
Arriving in late 2023, the EV9 is the beginning of ‘Plan S’, an ambitious scheme to unveil another 13 EVs by 2027.
Kia hasn’t revealed technical data or pricing yet, apart from its targeted maximum range of 337 miles, but expect a maximum battery capacity of 100kWh and a starting price of around £60,000.
The EV9 shares its 800V-equipped E-GMP platform with the EV6 and Ioniq 5, that means it will be capable of rapid-charging at 350kW to give around 62 miles of range in just six minutes.
